First Jena Spring-School on Educational Measurement
On march 28 - 30 2012 the first Jena Spring-School on Educational
Measurement will be hosted at the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena. The
Spring-School includes six one-day workshops covering current developments
in educational measurement and psychometrics. About half of the workshops
are targeted at researchers in these areas and the others at applying
state-of the art methodology. The intended audience for the workshops is
English-speaking postgraduates (with or without a PhD) as well as
professors. The scheduled workshops are as follows:
Workshop 1: Causal Inference in Educational Research (Prof. Dr. B.

Workshop 2: An Introduction to the Multidimensional Adaptive Testing
Environment: Test Assembly, Algorithm Specification, and Operational Testing
(Dr. U. Kröhne, DIPF Frankfurt, Germany)
Workshop 3: Diagnostic Models - An Introduction (Dr. M. von Davier,
Educational Testing Service, USA)
Workshop 4: Introduction to Multi-Level Structural Equation Modeling using
Mplus (Prof. Dr. G. Nagy, IPN Kiel, Germany)
Workshop 5: Introduction to Simulation Studies (Dr. O. B. Walter, University
of Bielefeld, Germany)
Workshop 6: Differential Item Functioning (Prof. Dr. J. Hartig, DIPF
Frankfurt, Germany)
